Hubble 3D – a movie to ease motion sickness
Because of the lack of fast-paced action sequences and with a soothing soundtrack, the Hubble 3D movie – in cooperation with NASA – is one 3D movie where 3D sickness is less likely. This one is definitely recommended for those who usually suffer from motion sickness but still want to enjoy the 3D experience.
Step up 3D movie – especially nauseous
Because of the fast and sudden movements, it’s usually the action sequences in 3D movies which bring on the nausea and headaches. It is this which causes the motion sickness. The new movie ‘Step Up 3D’ set for release in August, may well cause more sickness and than any other 3D movie to date. The film is a dance movie, so will feature a lot of fast-paced choreography. Check out the trailer below…
If you’ve ever been very drunk in a nightclub and tried to watch people dance under strobe lighting this can cause sickness. I’m not saying watching this new movie has the exact same effect, but it could well be similar, especially if you have eyes which are sensitive to light and you are prone to headaches, dizzy spells and sickness. If that’s the case, maybe it’s better to wait for the DVD release. If you do got to see it, remember to find a suitable position in the cinema, drink plenty of water and give your eyes a rest if you begin to feel the effects of 3D sickness.
